Hello,

Thank you,

Sounds great, but I've got a few questions...

What is it and why should I want one?

It's the fastest and cheapest way I know of for making things less wrong. Sometimes called a usability test or user test, it's when someone not you looks at what you're doing and tells you what they think. Then you feed that back into what you're doing (feedback) or ignore it (ignoran...never mind).

If usability tests are so valuable, why are you giving them away?

You get to do what you like doing (making cool stuff), I get to do what I like doing (nerding out about behavorial stuff) and nobody has to file it on their taxes do extra paperwork. You get better at what you do, I get better at what I do, and it takes less than 5-minutes of either of our's time. It's kind of an obvious trade.

Who are you and why should I care what you think?

I'm a husband, a father of 4, and the director of product marketing at a small company with $XXM in annual recurring revenue. I've built a lot of things, spent a lot of money, and read a lot of books. I write code, run ads, and design marketing websites. But mainly I'm obsessed with behavioral models, mental shortcuts (and their negative inverse, aka "cognitive biases"), persuasive patterns, eloquence, and in general, words.

What sorts of things will you look at?

Websites, video thumbnails, ad copy, soundbites, and screenshots mainly, but if you've got something else in mind, let me know.

Can I pay you to help me make my thing better?

No. Unless I really like what you're doing. And think my esoteric strategic skills would turbocharge your excellent execution acumen. But don't hold your breath.
